Parent education classes

We are committed to ensuring that you have an opportunity to access our parent education classes.

We encourage you to attend both of these free and frequently offered classes. They will be an invaluable part of your pregnancy journey.

The following pregnancy classes are up-to-date and provide evidence based information delivered in an engaging and positive way by:

  • expert midwives
  • lactation consultants
  • dieticians
  • physiotherapists.

No booking is required to attend.

Breast feeding matters – open forum with lactation consultant

The breast feeding forum is designed to provide you with education and information that will assist you establish and maintain breastfeeding. You will be given lots of opportunities to discuss topics that you are interested in and ask questions along the way.

Midwifery matter – open forum with midwife expert

The forum discusses the evidence based care that is provided at Fiona Stanley Hospital and includes discussions about health, diet, exercise, birth options and pain relief options to meet your individual needs. An opportunity to discuss any questions you have about your pregnancy and birth with a midwife, physiotherapist and dietician.
