Travel to and from Fiona Stanley Hospital is simple for patients, staff, volunteers and visitors.

Our hospital is located close to public transport facilities and is just 15 kilometres from Perth city and 9 kilometres from Fremantle. We are bordered by three major access roads – Kwinana Freeway, Murdoch Drive and South Street.

Public transport

The hospital is a 10 minute walk to Murdoch train station and buses run regularly between the station and the hospital.

Bus stops can be found on Barry Marshall Parade and Fiona Wood Road.

Pedestrians and cyclists

Fiona Stanley Hospital is easily accessed by a network of pedestrian and cycle paths. Bike racks are located outside the main entry and the eastern entry of the main hospital.

Patient set down

There are a number of short term patient set down areas throughout the campus.

A patient set down area with direct access to the main entry is located off Robin Warren Drive and easily identified by the red coloured bitumen.

There is also a set down area in front of Transit Lounge at the east entrance of the hospital and outside the State Rehabilitation Service.

Transport for eligible DVA patients

Some veteran patients may be eligible to have transport arranged for them through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) (external site).
