COVID-19 weekly update 23 September 2022

WA Health is reporting a total of 5,055 new cases in the past week to 4pm yesterday (22 September 2022). As of 4pm yesterday, there were 2,784 active cases in Western Australia.

 

As at 4pm yesterday, there were a total of 134 people with COVID-19 in hospital, with 2 in ICU.

 

Sadly, this week’s report to 4pm yesterday includes 9 deaths, dating back to 4 August 2022, which were reported to WA Health in the last week, aged from 70s to older than 100 years.

Total PCR tests for the timeframe were 12,266.

 

Total positive rapid antigen tests (RATs) reported to WA Health in this period were 3,589.

 

WA has recorded 1,150,133 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
