Infection Prevention and Control of Vancomycin Resistant Enterococci

Description:  The purpose of this Policy is to ensure appropriate management is undertaken in Western Australia (WA) healthcare facilities (HCS's) to prevent transmission of vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) to patients who are increased risk of VRE infection and thereby minimise morbidity and mortality associated with VRE infection.
