The toolkit (PDF 315KB) has been designed as an easy reference guide to help those providing maternity care to refugee and migrant women in WA. It aims to support health professionals to deliver timely, safe, quality and competent care for refugee and migrant women. It was developed in response to findings from a series of workshops held for health professionals.
The toolkit is split into the following themes:
- interpreter services
- information
- education and training
- barriers to care.
Each theme contains:
- a short discussion on the theme
- action points for consideration
- useful links
- suggestions for further reading.
Appendix One of the Toolkit includes resources and information in other languages.
