Thursday, 31 March marked the official end of the Pharmacy Automation roll-outs at Fiona Stanley Hospital, which culminated in the deployment of the last MedStation to ED Short Stay.

Over the last seven months, the Pharmacy Automation team has successfully managed the roll-out of 320 medical devices into 100 locations across the hospital, including pharmacy, wards, theatres and procedural areas.  This has been a very large undertaking for the staff involved and completes the final IT commissioning at FSH.

An afternoon tea was held last week to thank the project team, the many clinicians and other supporting teams who have been involved in the Pharmacy Automation program, which has been running for three and a half years.

Acting Executive Director Dr Paul Mark attended on behalf of the FSH Executive, as did State Steering Committee (SSC) Chair, Chris Whennan, both of whom gave their thanks and appreciation to the staff in attendance.
