Community members touring FSH in March
August 15, 2014

Following on from the popular tours held in March, we are once again holding tours inside Fiona Stanley Hospital for the community on Sunday 7 September 2014, between 9am and 3pm.

The tours are open to everyone and will give members of the community and staff who will be working at FSH, another opportunity to walk inside the main hospital building ahead of FSH's phased opening from October.

Tours are unreserved and will leave every 15 minutes, with the last tour leaving at 3pm. However it is important that you register your attendance using this survey (external link).

The tours will once again provide a general overview of Fiona Stanley Hospital, with visitors taken through the main hospital concourse and into selected rooms on a ward, while unique features of the hospital are pointed out along the way. The tours will then pass by the outside of the State rehabilitation service, mental health and emergency department (visitors are advised to wear sun protection).

The tours are approximately 1km in length and 45 minutes duration. They are fully accessible to prams, wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

Free parking will be available on the hospital grounds, but visitors are encouraged to catch public transport. FSH is less than a ten minute walk from Murdoch Train Station and regular buses also run between the station and the hospital’s main entrance. Contact Transperth for timetable details on 13 62 13 or at www.transperth.wa.gov.au (external link).
