The force was strong at Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) on Friday when staff, patients and visitors were thoroughly entertained by a Star Wars-inspired musical flash mob.

With his red lightsaber in hand, the performance started with Darth Vader marching through the crowd to his signature theme, The Imperial March.

The orchestra went on to play rousing renditions of instantly recognisable Star Wars classic tunes.

A sneaky Jawa even tried to steal the concourse ATM to add to his discarded scrap metal collection.

And proving that we are all still children at heart, little kids and big kids galore embraced their inner geek, taking photos and selfies with Darth Vader and his friends.

Special thanks to organiser Clinical Nurse Danielle Traber-Steinauer, South Side Symphony Orchestra and the Star Wars volunteers.
